The Humble Quest for Universal Genius

The Humble Quest for Universal GeniusT1167703642
The humble quest for Universal Genius is the slightly ridiculous quiz show that sees comedian Mark Allen pit top stand-ups against each other in a bid to find a modern-day Universal Genius. At this point you may be asking yourself 'What is a Universal Genius?' Well quite simply, it's someone who excels in every single facet of human understanding. They may have once been called Renaissance Men, but as the Renaissance was ages ago and women are now allowed to be geniuses as well, Universal Genius seems a better description of what he's for. The sad fact is that there hasn't been a true Universal Genius for hundreds of years. Oh there are plenty of common-or-garden geniuses, yes. The likes of Oscar Wilde, Marie Curie and Stephen Hawking are all very clever, but they only mastered one field and are subsequently ten-a-penny. We're looking for more of a Leonardo da Vinci type. He was a highly skilled painter, architect, inventor, poet, musician and general all round clever-clogs and that's exactly the kind of thing Mark Allen is after. The next show sees top comedians Tom Bell and Dan Atkinson battle it out for the coveted title. With rounds such as art, science, wit, etiquette, languages, poetry and hunting, we will sort out the wheat from the chaff and find who has what it takes to be considered a true modern-day Universal Genius.
