Viva Bobby Moore!
T0
There is no more famous name in the history of West Ham United Football Club than Bobby Moore. Widely regarded as the finest defender of his generation, Bobby's already legendary status has only been strengthened by his untimely death in 1993 at the age of 51. But what was he like as a player, as a man, as a friend. Come along and enjoy this tribute to "Sir Bobby" by ex-players who regard it as an honour to have known him, to have played with and against him and to have been his friend. What was it like to follow in his footsteps as West Ham captain, to have played with him for England in the World Cup and to have starred alongside him in the film "Escape to Victory". What really happened in Columbia in 1970 when Bobby was falsely accused of stealing a bracelet and what actually happened on that infamous night in 1971 when he was fined by the club for a night out in Blackpool. Enjoy this night of nostagia about the nation's ultimate footballing hero with Billy Bonds, Alan Mullery, Mike Summerbee, Brian Dear and host Tony Gale. All the proceeds from the evening's raffle will go to The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research.
