Inspired by the urban myth ?When the lions drink, London will sink...', Bad Host imagines a flooded London. Combining poetry and news broadcasts, live music, improvisation and a rich sensory environment, Bad Host weave a tale of a drowned capital and the remnants washed up in the sediment. Bad Host was formed in 2011 on the MA in Advanced Theatre Practice course at the Central School of Speech and Drama. We create experiential, immersive theatre which responds to unusual environments and acknowledges the audience as a live and playful presence. Our first performance, Occupied, was a series of three intimate one-on-one encounters at the BAC in July 2011.
