Missing the magic of musicals? Enjoy a fabulous two hours of song as the Musical Youth Company of Oxford (MYCO) bring you You Can't Stop The Beat. MYCO is an award-winning youth theatre organisation, recognised for its spectacular musical theatre productions and eclectic and innovative concert programmes. Their repertoire covers a diverse range of hit productions including 42nd Street and Godspell to name but a few. Like the rest of the arts sector, MYCO has been hit hard by the pandemic and had to cancel their brand-new production, Chess the Musical, just three weeks before it was due to be staged here at the Playhouse last year. In their comeback concert, aptly titled You Can't Stop the Beat, MYCO are delighted to bring you a taster of some of the highlights of Chess along with an array of other musical theatre gems, including numbers from Hairspray, Sunday in The Park with George, Six the Musical and Carousel.
