(Don't) Look Back in Anger?

1956 - Jimmy Porter is the voice of a generation disillusioned with political wars and lacking conviction in a new era of prosperity which promises much but could be 'too good to be true'. Half a century later and another educated generation finds sympathy with their forebears as they try to find meaning and purpose in a society of affluence and progress- After exploring the themes of John Osborne's seminal play 'Look Back in Anger' for two months, the Angry Young Men Theatre Company have been examining their own lives and imagining how parallels to this explosive drama might look in today's society.
