A Brief History of Helen of Troy

T01489387444
Teenage daughter Charlotte wants to be beautiful like her late mother, Helen. She wants to have the face that launched a thousand ships. She wants to be a porn star. Her Careers Counsellor Gary is out of his depths. Her grief-stricken Dad is drunk and not dealing with it. Her best friend, Heather thinks it s just a case of using the right product - 'Read the Label and Apply , but is it really that simple? A Brief History of Helen of Troy is about what can happen if you stop listening. Inspired by Euripides but with its sights set firmly on contemporary America, this is a wry examination of the complacency culture and the politics of beauty.
