The Desai household comprises Mr and Mrs Desai, Anushka, a college student, and Bunty, an associate copywriter. They go through the daily routine of life, love and understanding, until the peace and tranquility of the Desai family is disrupted by the arrival of the D'Costas. Far away from the watchful eyes of Mrs Desai, Anushka and Melwyn D'Costa profess undying love for each other. In the tradition of Romeo and Juliet and Heer and Ranjha, they defy barriers of religion, caste and parental disapproval. This play is a mirror of our lives.
