A group of scouts and guides are on a trip to their local museum. As they gaze up at Florence's picture, wondering who the Lady with the Lamp really was, something strange begins to happen... Journey with the children as they are transported by Florence through her life, from her uncomfortable childhood in Derbyshire, to the horrors of the Crimean War and her struggle to reform the nursing profession. At times funny and at others very moving, A Lady with a Lamp gives a rare insight into the life of Derbyshire's most famous woman.
