A staged reading and book launch of this powerful play, published for the first time in English as a contribution to the commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary of the Partition of British India. With over three million people killed in communal violence, the Independence of British India created the largest number of refugees the world has ever known. The play is written in the Panjabi folk style known a Qissa (narrative) and is part of Voices of Partition, a project exploring the Partition through performanceDirector Dominic Rai.
