A Nightingale Sang

T1948683455
A bittersweet comedy chronicling the lives of a north eastern family, played out against the backdrop of the WWII. Amidst the air raid sirens and threats of poisoned gas, Mam worries about the church being bombed (not to mention Father Monaghan's soul). Dad spouts communism whilst belting out songs on the piano, Grandpa mourns his dead whippet and sisters Joyce and Helen explore the dreams and realities of first love.
