A Trinity of Two archivePlaywright Oscar Wilde and Edward Carson were contemporaries at Trinity College, Dublin. This acclaimed, insightful play explores their lives against the backdrop of the Old Bailey in April 1895 when Carson and Wilde were the chief protagonists in the trial which resulted in Wilde's downfall. Wilde's and Carson's lives intertwined as both achieved brilliant career in London. The play is their story, the story of the trial and of how mutual fear and loathing becomes admiration and understanding. Ireland's troubled history is given a radical twist in a play rich in ideas as relevant at the end of this century as they were at the end of the last.
