A quartet of thespian friends gather to read aloud a new play by one of their number, only to learn it is actually a scathing expose of their own sins and frailties. As, one by one, they find their lies and transgressions laid bare, their relationships disintegrate with murderous consequences. Or do they? Taking the 'play within a play' device to its nth degree, this darkly comic thriller turns around a series of coups de theatre, taking us from a seemingly innocuous domestic play reading through to a brutal climax. With each revelation the characters become darker, their secret nastier and the build up to their next denouement bloodier and more entertaining.
