Barbarians archiveIn a small provincial town, the community experience a great upheaval when a group of engineers arrive to prepare for the building of a railway. They awaken a heady mix of fear, passion, hatred, love, rebellion and infidelity. Gorky's grand, witty and powerful play follows the loves and losses of a cross-section of the town. As the two groups clash, individuals become caught between opposing forces with life-changing consequences.
