Barefoot in the Park

The Times (11Jan01): [Alan Cox] finds opportunity for neatly delivered irony and manages a fast and funny trick with the tangled flex of a telephone. [Rebecca Pickup] is dauntlessly enthusiastic. [Jan Waters] is quite amusing as the dazed mother. But the play, vigorously directed here by [Sally Hughes], is a sobering reminder that 40 years ago America s light comedies were as mindlessly trivial as our own. 3
