Before the Leaves Fall
T588747488
The play follows Mac's life from his childhood in the countryside to the trenches in France. Mac's story addresses themes of relationships, prejudice, integrity, loyalty, courage and sacrifice. In the midst of the carnage of World War 1 there is still humour to be found and glimpses of humanity spreading light in the darkness.

Production details
To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Sticklepath School and the Centenary of The Great War, local writer Carolyn Hinton has written a play based on the real life story of her Great Uncle Mac who was a stretcher bearer with the 8th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment. Our troupe of young performers feel privileged to be honouring the memory of all those who served in World War 1 and their families who also gave so much. Minimum age recommendation: 8+
