An interdisciplinary performance of music, video and theatre exploring the themes of Biblical Creation through the hidden mystical meanings of the Hebrew alphabet. Using the artistry of world-renowned calligrapher Frank Lalou, composer Daniel Biro and singer/performer L Orange, BLACK FIRE ON WHITE FIRE is a synesthetic performance experience. By amplifying the sound of his calligrapher's pen and projecting his work on a large video screen, Frank Lalou interacts live with the musicians and performers, the sounds of the letters becoming part of an original music/theatre composition. The alphabet's almost genetic role in the creation of the universe, as explained by Biblical mystics, takes the audience through a spiritual journey of discovery.
