Bonfires and Vanities

T1875568836
Set in Renaissance Italy. Simonetta and Giulia are young, beautiful and enlightened cousins. They are also the mistresses of two of Italy's most powerful rulers: Lorenzo de Medici and Rodrigo Borgia. When religious fundamentalism takes hold of Florence under the charismatic leadership of Savonarola, the women are caught up in a city's tragic events, and the resulting bonfires and vanities.
