The second part of the show is a rich, moving and hilarious celebration of the World's Greatest Short Story Writer, Herman Charles Bosman, BOY FROM BETHULIE is a cavalcade of sharply drawn characters from Bosman's most famous Writings such as Mafikeng Road , Cold Stone Jug and a Cask of Jerepigo. Join Patrick Mynhardt as He takes you on a contrasting journey from the small town of Bethulie and his Childhood To the arid rich plains of the Groot Marico –the home of Oom Schalk Lourens- South Africa's iconic StoryTeller. A Born and Bred South African with an Irish mother and Afrikaner father, Patrick Mynhardt tells the extraordinary story of his childhood in a dusty small town in the Orange Free State and his coming of age - journey to become one of South Africa's household names. Then there is his life-changing, by - chance introduction to the writing of Herman Charles Bosman which shaped the record breaking Jerepigo series of one man show's - A SIP OF JEREPIGO, MORE JEREPIGO and JEREPIGO GEMS.
