Certain Dark Things tells the story of Mikel, a young Basque boy, and his sexual awakening under a brutally repressive regime. We re-visit Mikel after Franco is dead when he struggles to face the truth of his own small, long-buried tragedy as the Basque culture emerges blindly from decades of fear and oppression.
