Heading back to Scotland for a reunion with his old mates Gary and Jackson, Chick arrives to discover Gary's daughter Audrey has been in a terrible car accident. She is in a coma in hospital, her parents at her side. Is it just Chick, or does she look like something from a fairy tale, hair flared dramatically over the white sheets? There begins a story of reconciliation and redemption as Charlie embarks on a quest across the city to find the one thing that might save Audrey. It's a journey involving drink (lots), ballerinas, soft play centres and, like all good tales, an extraordinary apotheosis.
