The sleepy village of Tifygourdas is rudely awoken when two sprightly pensioners, Lily and Sheena, have a near death experience in the local bookmakers during a gas explosion. As a result, they decide to give something back to the community by embarking on a pools coupon scam. Unfortunately Lily, a battered wife, blabs about the pools scam in the confessional. Soon everyone from the local priest to the village hooker wants a piece of the millionaire action! The dodgy scam is threatened when Lily's alcoholic husband is discovered missing and Sheena's wannabe actress niece, in a comically gruesome scene, discovers a piece of his innards in Lily's handbag. When you add to this gritty and realistic tale the local prostitute and a male stripper, the result is a hilarious down to earth comedy, guaranteeing a rip roaring night out of fun.
