Production details

Imagine Noah's Flood not as a Biblical story but as a modern disaster affecting the world today. Deborah McAndrew's exciting new script for the 2018 cycle of the Chester Mystery Plays brings the medieval manuscripts into the 21st century inviting audiences to question our throwaway culture and whether it is destroying God's Creation. Directed by Peter Leslie Wild with music by Matt Baker and design by Dawn Allsopp, a 200-strong cast drawn from Chester, the North West and North Wales tell the iconic Bible stories as if they were set in Cheshire's county town. Tickets: www.chestermysteryplays.com, telephone 01244 500959. This event takes place at Chester Cathedral, St Werburgh Street, Chester CH1 2DY
