A desolate circus troupe put their glad rags on to tell you the story of Monsieur Hoffman s mad loves with his trio of enchantresses, Olympia, Antonia and Giulietta. A mechanical doll who dances him into a frenzy, a singer who is compelled by her mother s portrait to sing away her last ounce of strength and an aerial siren who steals his reflection, soul and idealism. Theatrical clowns, ethereal tunes and flying performers all to Jacques Offenbach s music has been moulded into a new original soundtrack.
