The best way to escape a dark tunnel is to find Hollywood at the end of it. When an unexpected tragedy rips through Anna's home, she is propelled into a colourful world of escape through the character of 1930s Hollywood actress, Madeleine Carroll. This autobiographical one-woman show set in the Black Country is a shifting, rhythmical patchwork of poetry and live music, replete with classic songs from Irving Berlin. Taking the audience on a gap year round trip from West Bromwich to West Virginia meeting a handful of lively characters along the way, Collidoscope is a bittersweet story of how fantasy and reality collide in the effervescent mind of an ordinary girl on an extraordinary journey.
