In the Village Hall the Fete Committee meets on a cold January evening. Later, on a hot July afternoon, the Hall becomes the command centre for the Fete itself. The committee includes a nosey Ethel, long suffering Pauline, horsey Marjorie, elderly Mavis, and reveals a world of gossip, innuendo, secrets and hidden agenda.
