London 1997: Nima struggles to escape the shadow of his past. As he searches for answers, more questions are raised. Only by examining the family history can the skeletons in the closet be revealed. In a post nightmare haze, Nima turns to his aunt Minou who takes him back to 1950's Iran. Tehran 1951: A cosmopolitan city on the brink of change. Black and white movies, love, rebellion: Two couples, Mammad and Minou, Parviz and Lily struggle to find their place in a turbulent world. We follow their young love as it flourishes amongst riots and finds comfort in the Hollywood movie 'Destry Rides Again'. But real life events soon overtake those on the silver screen. The closet door opens, the skeletons are revealed and Nima discovers more than he bargained for.
