Don Juan

T1629653630
Few plays can have generated more controversy then Moliere's audacious 1665 comic masterpiece. Having offended both church and state the play was banned after just fifteen performances and not performed again in its original form until 1947. Legendary lover, Don Juan is a serial womaniser who just cannot help himself. A beautiful woman exists for him to woo and win, deflower and forget. Having seduced a virtuous Elvira and killed her noble father, her family are out for revenge...
Author Simon Nye (based on the original by Moliere 1665)
