Everyday Uses for Sight: Nos 3 and 7

Everyday Uses for Sight: Nos 3 and 7T1516846146
New York artist Dan Hurlin presents an evening of 'object theatre' in two parts. The show, which has been described as a 'love letter to sight', forms a series of poetic moments generating a disturbing and complex examination of something we take for granted everyday: sight. The first piece, No 3: The Home Of Bill and Sandy Kelly, intermingles the story of one boy's voyeuristic fixation with his neighbours and the man's compulsive photographic documentation of the work of architect Louis Sullivan. The second work, No 7, The Heart Of The Andes, is a pop-up book for grown-ups in which manipulate ways of seeing using Lilliputian props and miniature art works concealed in boxes.
