Fear and Misery of the Third Reich

Fear and Misery of the Third ReichT791522571
Brecht's first openly anti Nazi play performed as a series of scenes depicting how ordinary German life under the Nazis was subtly permeated by suspicion and anxiety. The play evokes the sense of suspicion and anxiety experienced by people as the power of Hitler grew. First staged in 1938 Brecht wrote this play whilst in exile from Germany.
Author Bertolt Brecht
