Fight

FightT01070699721
Because we are young, they think we are weak - Because we are young, they think we don't care - Because we are young, they make their past dictate our future. Performers, beatboxers and boxers come together to explore Battersea's radical history. From the feminists and communists to the rioters and roadmen, FIGHT tells lost and untold histories of the working class people who fought to make the working day 8 hours and elect London's first black mayor. What are their names? Why don't they teach this in our schools? FIGHT also draws on the stories of the cast: McDonalds, minimum wage and hopes for the future. Each generation must face the last generation's struggles. Our stories must be retold to exist, to go down in history. Told with a live beat-box score, this immersive new show celebrates what 'fight' really means and how today we need to fight more than ever to protect the rights our predecessors fought for.
