First Person Shooter

T315610090
Thumbs twitching, trigger-finger blistering, eyes glued to the screen... 17 year-old student Adrian has a serious habit - playing military shooters on his computer games console. Single mum Maggie wants him to study Classics at Uni and stop locking himself in his room pwning n00bs*. With the help of Tom, a computer geek from work, Maggie deciphers gaming lingo and attempts to reconnect with Adrian. But when a revolutionary new technology Tom invents gets picked up by the MoD, their lives are rocketed from the virtual to the actual battlefield. Set in the Midlands, First Person Shooter is a witty and prescient play about what happens when gaming and military technology collide. First Person Shooter promises a vivid and immersive production, combining digitally generated content with live drama to create an extraordinary theatrical experience. *Pwn - verb, to kill, to annihilate, to totally dominate your opponent *n00b - noun, novice or somebody unskilled at a particular game.
