One man's Game Over, means another's game has just begun.
Game Over is a contemporary retelling of the evocative Arabian Nights stories, where Scheherazade transports the King to a magical world through storytelling every night so that he will spare her life. This work-in-progress showing blends traditional Arabic storytelling and multi-media to tell the real life stories of recent events across the Arab Spring. It is so named as ?Game Over' was the slogan of choice at many demonstrations directed at departing tyrants across the Arab Spring. It also mirrors the 'game' going on in the Arabian Nights story and encompasses themes of gender and power in the Arab world.
