Genesis archiveBased on an amalgamation of true stories Genesis tells the tale of three friends, Fateh, Vira and Ishwar, who find themselves separated from each other and their homeland in the Punjab, during the construction of the East African Railway. Fateh leaves his wife, Vira, to seek a gypsy's promise and finds himself in a work gang in East Africa. In turn, Ishwar, his closest friend, follows him to Africa; while Vira, chasing her own dream, dresses as a man to find Fateh. In the Rift Valley, a child is found lying across the tracks..and the three face each other again.
