Ghosts in the Gallery tells the story of a girl called B, who has run away from home and finds herself locked in the gallery on Halloween. But she soon realises she is not alone as the portraits come to life and lead her on an adventure across the Gallery walls.

Production details
A cast of four actors will take on over 30 characters (including Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII, Shakespeare, Queen Victoria, Beatrix Potter and Winston Churchill) as the National Portrait Gallery comes to life on Polka’s stage. The play, directed by Polka’s Artistic Director, Jonathan Lloyd, will explore British history, identity and heritage through the eyes of a young British black girl. Black History Month
