T02076737050 (NORTHERN06)Northern Stage’s Participation Team has collected memories and stories of Newcastle Playhouse, the Gulbenkian Studio and the company from all sorts of people in all sorts of places. The Northern Stage Performance Group has created a show from their memories and the research of the Participation Team to honour the former Playhouse’s long and distinguished history. Directed by [Erica Whyman], [Mark Lloyd] and [Peter Peverley], Home is a mix of third-hand memories of past shows, first-hand accounts of finding love in the stairwells and the collective experience of visiting the new theatre for the first time. Home is the culmination of a seven month project which has involved 30 performers and will use texts, music and devised material to create an emotional journey through Northern Stage’s old and new home.Director Erica Whyman.
