Homers archiveSet in 1967, Alex and Mary are 'homers'. Sent out from children's homes in Glasgow t the Isle of Lewis. They try to fit in, but they're out of place at home, at church and at school. Alex is driven out and back to Glasgow to start work as a butcher's apprentice. Eventually he returns, to find Mary, but what he comes back to is even more difficult than what he's left behind...Poignant, touching and hilariously funny, Homers is the first full-length play by Iain Findlay MacLeod, who wrote Alexander Salamander, as part of the Traverse's Highland Shorts in 1999.
