I Hope My Heart Goes First

I Hope My Heart Goes First is an original performance piece by Junction 25 in which they explore the ideas of love and loss. "Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction)": Sudden interruption or insufficiency of the supply of blood to the heart, often resulting in death. "Heartbreak": Overwhelming sorrow, grief or disappointment often a result of loss. "Lose (one's) heart to": To fall in love with, often resulting in joy, harmony and bliss. "Heart Failure": Inability of the heart to keep up with the demands on it. It is an attempt to explore the ideas of love and loss from the experience perspective of a young person living in 2010. We have been asking ourselves some questions and trying to find some answers. We have been trying to come up with a shared definition. We have been wondering about if it is the same for all of us and if not why not? We have been trying to imagine what it will feel like and what we should be expecting. It has been a struggle to figure out exactly how it works. Some people have had experience and that has been useful.
