Inspired by the lives of the Bevin Boys who served in the coalmines during WWII, the play will highlight the war efforts of young men who had hoped to join the armed services but were sent to unfamiliar communities to work in challenging conditions deep underground in the coal mines. an emotive dramatisation of the nationalisation of the coal industry, seen through the lives of the Bevin Boys. The drama unfolds at Hope Pit, bringing the story to life and immersing the audience in the world of the coalminer.
