A group of young teenagers on the verge of adulthood venture out into the woods, in pursuit of Mrs Liddle's House, the ramshackle home of a strange old lady, long assumed dead. When further investigation reveals an eccentric woman living a tramp-like existence, rumours surface of her sinister past and connections, and the group question what her creepy behaviour may suggest. Is she a witch? Or is there some other logical explanation for her bizarre, freakish behaviour? Rising to the challenge the group take matters into their own hands. What unfolds is more serious than any of them had anticipated. As they are swept up in the fervour of the moment, story telling clashes with reality - and the group have to trace the difference between the truth and the power of imagination, childish play and adult responsibility.
