Junk archiveThe play is an uncompromising, roller coaster of an account of a group of young people caught up in the world of drugs, prostitution and broken friendship. It doesn't preach a message, it simply tells the story as it is, leaving the audience to make up it's own mind about the perils involved. Tar loves Gemma, but Gemma doesn't want to be tied down - not to anyone or anything. Gemma wants to fly, but no one can fly forever. One day, somehow, finally you have to come down. Junk introduces the initial thrill and fun of the drug scene and the despair and degradation that follow. The show is peppered with fun and laughter, spiky haircuts, heavy black eye liner and ripped t-shirts with added atmosphere for a great soundtrack.
