Legacy

T0
With an inner world of profound tragedy, Dorothy Whitney Elmhirst created an extraordinary outer world of creativity, optimism and spiritual searching. Her inspirational friendships included, Cecil Beaton, Eleanor Roosevelt, Michael Chekhov and Mahatma Gandhi. The play begins in 1959, when after surviving a series of heart attacks, Dorothy writes her most intimate memoir. As Dorothy reflects upon her life, an intrusive Biographer arrives to probe hidden and half-forgotten memories for his book.
