Play :: Her marriage is lifeless, her job mindless, and where do you start on the Isle of Dogs? But now Jenny's starting to find her voice. She doesn't just wear her heart on her sleeve, she dresses in it top to toe. Her docile husband and long suffering best friend take cover from her rants. Until Rufus arrives. The world suites him just the way it is. But he too wants things out in the open - open war. In the ferocious battle that ensues, Jenny realises that she is also given to delusion and denial, and that her claim on the 'truth' may be just as flimsy as Rufus'. Inspired by Osbourne's original, Lie Back in Anger explores whether a modern woman can ever be as uncompromising as the vaunted 'angry man'. In Jenny a genuine Jimmy Porter counterpart? Or just a sharp chav who can't afford a university place?
