Life Savings

T1360861876
Inspired by the children's short story 'Life Savings' by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. Where would you go if you could live a moment from your life all over again? Half an hour from your childhood? A day from your teenage years? Would you change things, or leave things as they were? And when do we choose to look back at the things we had, rather than forward at the things we still desire...? In a unique collaboration two writers, two directors and two casts, one of younger performers from YPT Acting and one of older performers working with the Theatre Royal's ENGAGE programme, respond to Allan Ahlberg's magical tale. Audiences will be taken on an enchanting adventure through two theatres over a single evening with the first part of the show taking place in the egg and the second part in the Ustinov Studio after the interval.
