Looking at Lucian archiveWhen Lucian Freud died in 2011 aged 88 he was widely considered to be the greatest living portrait painter of our time. Those who sat for him ranged from The Queen to his mother, from Kate Moss to 'Big Sue'. Those he knew included The Jaggers, Picasso and The Krays. An inveterate gambler, father to at least fourteen children, he was private, magnetic and controversial. In this mesmerising fly-on-the-wall drama, we look at Lucian as he works in his Kensington Studio, painting a portrait across the course of ten months. Exceptionally witty, prodigiously intelligent and fiercely curious, what Lucian doesn't know is that the intimate relationship between artist and model is about to be betrayed...
