Their cosy intimacy is shattered with the arrival of Sanjay and complex secrets are drawn out into the open. Black Shalwar is an adaptation of Manto's dazzling short story, 'Kali Shalwar'. Sultana, a feisty prostitute, falls in love, not once, but twice and begins to lose her grip on reality.
