Love is Blind

The Commedia dell'Arte was the world of the wonderfully comical figures of 16th century Italy inhabited by vibrant, physical characters: Zanni, Pantalone, Capitano, Columbina, Arlechino, Dottore and many more. They argue, fight then fall in and out of love in a world full of envy, love and revenge. Their playful, physical style provides us with many sources for contemporary comedy and clowning.
