Misfits of London: The Gin Chronicles
T01095530026
Our intrepid Misfits of London are back to unleash their vintage detective workings on a suspecting audience. They should be suspecting anyway, as the performers settle for their telling of the first adventure in "The Gin Chronicles". John Jobling, a charming well-to-do Londoner and keen drinker of Gin, decides to avoid the fate of other fellow gad-abouts and actually do something with his life. When word of the disappearance of famous Gin magnate Cornelius Juniper - maker of Jobling's favourite Gin - filters through to the morning news-stands, Jobling decides he'd quite like to be a detective. His mother, horrified that he will be viewed as "louche" and "unnecessarily common" for refusing to have a butler, sends him a housemaid, Doris Golightly, who becomes not only a housemaid but a competent associate in Jobling's forays into detection. As they roam the streets of London in search of clues to uncover the mystery, they encounter a raft of unusual and colourful characters, some of whom may not be the helpful citizens they present themselves to be. Will Jobling & Golightly solve the mystery and return Juniper to his rightful place as purveyor of London's finest dry Gin, or will the situation turn rummy?! Come and join the marvellous Misfits as they fizz through another slick comedy that is the trademark of Interrupt the Routine's work.
