Modred, the story of Old King Arthur

T1159297722
When you're the incestuous bastard son of a bastard son, it's a bit difficult to swallow when they tell you your father's a legend. What's more, it's difficult to enjoy being evil when the historians can't agree on who you ravaged, who you killed, and how you spelt you name while doing it. In a rabidly bitter reflection on King Arthur's life, Modred disputes the likelihood of his dad's greatest deeds, and the play tells a cautionary tale of what a monk can get up to when he's desperate to avoid his maker. Modred blends humour, physical theatre and absurdism in a refreshingly cynical approach to Britain's favourite myth. Contains strong language and scenes of a sexual nature.
