New Plays from Uganda

Rehearsed readings. In 1996 the National Playwriting Network in Uganda was set up as a partnership between the Royal Court Theatre and the National Theatre of Uganda. Since then 12 new plays have been produced at the National Theatre in Kampala. This spring over a dozen plays are in development. A selection will be presented accompanied by a seminar focusing on the playwrights' experiences here and at home.
