Marion Bishop is 71 years old and a romantic novelist who has gained considerable wealth through her books. Her nephew, Raymond Shapley, is after the money that his mother left to him, which is in a trust fund arranged for him by his aunt, Marion. She is reluctant to give the money to him and Raymond will do anything to get it. Marion's health is failing and so nurse Laura Vinnecombe appears, but under strange circumstances. Does anyone know what she is up to? Is she in league with Dr Andrew Thorne? Maybe Katherine Willis can shed some light. Lies, suspicion, blackmail and despair all develop as the play goes on, into one final nightmare!
